What is the concept?

Well, the concept is simple and easy to use. It is to create a simple yet highly effective advertising billboard. I am selling 1 million pixels for Rs10 each. These pixels can only be bought in 100-pixel squares (measuring 10X10 pixels), as anything smaller would not get the recognition and perception it deserves. The page is designed to have 10,000 such 100-pixel squares, which make it 1 million pixels in total .

The pixels will be displayed permanently and will not change, and I intend to keep the website active for a minimum of 5 years, and probably longer. But all that's available is 10,000 squares, so hurry and book your space before its all gone!!! And, not to forget all the media hype its going to get.

My concept is dedicated to India, and I will be very grateful to anyone Indian or connected to India to buy my pixels. Any number of pixels are available to buy (obviously as long as they are available!). The live statistics are displayed such that anyone can see how many pixels have been bought and how many still exist. After buying some pixel space, you can display an advertisement/image/logo/anything 'under the sun' which is not offensive. The object will have a text attached which will show once the cursor is placed above it, and can also be linked to a website. And for those that don't have a website, I am also offering a very simple and inexpensive way of creating one, such that a comprehensive advertising strategy can be successfully showcased.

Why the name CrorepatiPage?

Quite simply, this is a page designed for current and aspiring crorepati businesses and also individuals.

So if you are a crorepati business already, then you should definitely be a part of this page, which can help you gain further viewership and recognition. And for aspiring crorepati businesses, what better platform than this website where you can advertise extremely cheaply, where we do extensive marketing to make this page and its advertisers 'crorepatis' , and where you can reach out to a wider audience and consumer base.

As for individuals, you can instantly see if a company is operating any discounts or schemes online, and I hope that you can avail these discounts to make a saving and hopefully become a 'crorepati' over time! As we all know, money saved is money earned!

What is the motivation behind my concept?

My concept is dedicated to India and everything that 'reaches and touches' India. It caters to the emerging yet enormously growing concept of Internet advertising in India. As the familiarity with the Internet increases and as millions of Indians get 'bitten' by the Internet bug, I am confident that my page will be THE forum for Indian companies to be advertised all over India and also to the millions and millions of Indians all over the globe .

I also hope to make a small difference by influencing the Indian women to gear up and join in the Internet revolution in India. If a simple homemaker like me can harness the power of the Internet to make a difference, I am confident that today's Indian women can get more familiar with this new medium and join in boosting the Indian Internet community.

How did I get the concept?

My concept is inspired from 21-year old Alex Tew's million dollar homepage. I really admire his brilliant idea and his motivation to educate himself.

Why is this THE forum for Indian companies?

According to a study by MSN, its reboot time for Indian advertising with predictions that the online advertising segment in India is likely to cross the 100 million dollar mark by 2010. It is the high potential and the great cost advantage offered by Internet advertising that I want to be able to offer to the Indian companies or companies targeting the Indian masses.

I intend to make this page one and only of its kind, and keep it for atleast 5 years and possibly forever. I am positive that the popularity of this page and the awareness created amongst the current and ever-growing Internet community in India will provide the companies highlighted with a much effective and wider penetrating, yet very cheap, advertising space. I am confident this will make materially increase the penetration power of the companies highlighted here.

Quite simply, I am selling 1 million squares of valuable marketing space. Moreover, I will also continually try and negotiate special discounts and offers from advertised companies such that the surfers can benefit from this one-stop site by seeing a variety of companies offering a variety of offers which would not be available otherwise. So add this to your Favourites and keep visiting such that you can fully benefit from these features and are aware of the bests deal possible.

Are you genuine/is this a joke?

I am completely genuine and although this site might be funny in various ways, it is not a joke! I really am selling pixels for Rs10 each, and I really want to market the site widely and catch the media attention .

Why can't I buy one single pixel?

I decided that although it would probably be great if one could buy a single pixel each, in practise, it wouldn't be so effective. The reason I believe this is because you can't display anything meaningful in one pixel - nor click it easily - so visually, it would be pointless.

How long will the site be online?

The site will be online for 5 years guaranteed (at least until 10th January 2011), however the aim is to keep the site online forever!

Everything on the internet keeps changing so fast, and I think 5 years would be sufficient time to fully experience the power of the Indian Internet revolution .

My name is Sunaina Bansal, and I am married to my loving husband, Karan. I am a homemaker. In addition, I am highly educated and like
to think creatively, and be aware of the many milestones that man (and woman!) has achieved today. And it is this awareness and the accompanying confidence that helped me create my concept.
